Dear High School Parents,
Your students should have been informing you of our upcoming events but here are some specifics that I am sure they did not all get home to you.
Farwell High School Band will be traveling to Oscoda to take part in District Band and Orchestra Festival on March 10. This is a required trip and we do expect all 9-12 grade band students to take part in this Festival.
We do want the band to look great so make sure your child has the required black socks/shoes and uniform. If any of this is an issue please call Mr. Shimmons and we will work it out.
Here is the FHS Symphonic Band schedule for District Band and Orchestra Festival 2018:
8:45 AM In Band Room for attendance
9:00 AM SHARP - Leave Farwell High School Band Room
11:30 Arrive at Oscoda - Find coat room DO NOT unload equipment trailer
11:40 Watch the HS bands from Standish and then Houghton Lake
12:30 Unload trailer and THEN eat lunch at Oscoda High School (Support their Band Boosters!)
1:30 Watch AuGres High School
1:55 Watch Harrison High School
2:20 Watch Pinconning High School
2:45 Last chance to use rest room or get snack
2:55 In warm up room ready to go
3:20 Warm up Room
3:45 Farwell HS Performs on stage
4:15 Sightread (prob on the stage)
4:45 Load trailer and get snack and get ratings
5:15 Leave Oscoda HS
7:45 - 8:00 PM Arrive back in Farwell at the band parking lot. Please make sure you have rides waiting. Students WILL call when we leave Oscoda!
The FHS Girls Bball Team has made it to Districts!
That means out 8th-12th Grade Band/Choir Concert is for sure changing to Tuesday Night February 27!

100% of the profit from this fundraiser goes towards the sellers cost of attending FHS Band Camp in the fall!
The MS Concert from tonight is being rescheduled for the evening of Monday the 18th at 6:30 because of weather tonight.
Tonight is the night - Dec 12, 2017 - High School Concert starts at 6:30pm. Students should be in the band room at 6pm!
