First Home Football Game

This week the band students will be marching in our Pink show shirts. We will be doing this for two reasons - 1)To honor and recognize the service Paula Sullivan gave to our school and band program and the community of Farwell. 2) Our new uniforms that we have ordered because there are so many kids in band have not all arrived yet. 

So the uniform for this Friday is simple: Pink Shirts, blue jeans (not those ripped ones with holes), and our black marching shoes with white socks.

Several things to make sure you are aware of:

1. Drop students off at the south east corner of the football field which is actually by the baseball/softball diamonds. 
2. Parents should NOT park in this parking lot.
3. Students driving themselves MAY park here IF and ONLY IF they arrive on time. On time means in the gate BEFORE 5:45
4. Bring water bottles with you!
5. We will stay for the entire game of course.
6. Band students will sit by section in the bleachers.
7. Non band students are not allowed to "join the band". If they want to "join the band" then let's have them learn an instrument and "join the band"! It is an honor and privilege to sit in our section that needs to be earned.
8. Be "at ready" to play during the game!
   

We do need several parents to help out during the night... one parent to help pass out shoes and one parent to mark our spot in the bleachers and another parent to help unload/load the trailer. Email Mr. Shimmons if you are willing to help out!

​Your kids are awesome! Tuesday night Rehearsals went well and I appreciate that they remembered the show so well! We are looking forward with much excitement to the performance Friday night. We hope to see you all in the stands!
